Calipari named Coach of the Year

John Calipari has been named the Naismith National Coach of the Year by The Atlanta Tipoff Club.

According to the Associated Press, "Memphis won 38 games and was ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in the AP poll for a school-record 16 straight weeks... Calipari is one of five coaches in NCAA Division I history to lead two different programs to a No. 1 national ranking. The others were Frank McGuire, Ralph Miller, Roy Williams and Eddie Sutton."
