Was it the UCLA defense that pressured Memphis into missing so many shots? Did Memphis simply choke the game away? Neither team was very impressive today but UCLA made the plays they had to make to get the win. Early in the game UCLA was aggressive driving to the rim and forced Memphis into foul trouble. I am not sure why they stopped this tactic later in the game. Both teams were terrible from the free throw line, but Memphis hit only 2 three point shots the entire game and both of those cam in the final minute after missing 16 or 17 in a row. So what was it, did the UCLA defensive pressure get to Memphis or did they simply choke?

I didn't really think Memphis had a three point game in the first place. They played well before the tournaments but were unable to step up to the pace and intensity of the big dance. UCLA played on a higher level and did what they had to do. UCLA played their game.
