Grizzlies Sign Mililcic

Memphis is the latest team to take a chance on unrestricted free agent Darko Milicic.
The Grizzlies are taking a risk, but if they want to play up-tempo, they have pegged the right guy. Milicic, a 7-footer, agreed in principle to a three-year deal in the range of $6 million and $7 million, according to the Memphis Commerical Appeal. He won't be Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh or Dwyane Wade -- his fellow members of the Class of 2003 -- but Milicic will make his mark now. Memphis will be exponentially better thanks to this signing.
Milicic, 22, averaged eight points per game last season with Orlando, his second with the team. He was drafted second overall by Detroit in 2003.

Cool Re: Grizzlies Sign Mililcic

Wow. That's a lot of money for a guy who averaged 8 pts, 5 boards and 1.75 blocks a game.

Can you imagine what a guy like Paul Silas would have made?

Silas was underrated...though I like Milic...I was hoping the Magic would of resigned him...but we spent lots of cash on Rashad Lewis.
