Last Friday in Atlanta, against the league’s lowest-scoring team, the Grizzlies surrendered 106 points to the Hawks, 13 above their season average. Saturday, Charlotte had 107 points against Memphis, 11 above the Bobcats’ average. And Monday, New Jersey had 113 points, 16 points above their season average. These last three games where the Grizzlies have surrendered over 100 points to teams that are typically low-scoring came on the heels of solid back-to-back defensive performances, when they held Toronto to 94 points and Detroit to 92.
