The Grizzlies’ up-tempo offense went out the window tonight as the Detroit Pistons came to town and engaged Memphis in a slugfest. The two teams went toe-to-toe throughout the entire game, until Tayshaun Prince delivered a series of knockout blows down the stretch to lead Detroit to a 92-89 victory.
On paper, a game where the Grizzlies shoot 39.0% from the field and score just four fast break points would seem to indicate an easy Pistons victory, but the Grizzlies held a lead through the first seven and a half minutes of the fourth quarter.
