Pau Gasol, Memphis Grizzlies center, is distressed at the team's youth movement and has asked to be traded to a playoff contender. Grizzlies GM Jerry West has reportedly explored trades for Gasol, 27, with at least three teams, one of which is the Chicago Bulls.

A trade with the Bulls could involve Luol Deng and Ben Gordon. However, Bulls sources say that vice president John Paxson is not likely to make that deal.

How come the good teams like the Bulls always get the good players? I guess that's why their good. Too bad the Knicks don't have anybody the Grizzlies would want.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm not 100% convinced that Chicago would be getting the best of a Gasol for Deng & Gordon deal.

As for that proposed deal, Gordon is too good a player to give up on yet.
