| Maryland keeps its bowl hopes alive, faces Florida State next COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- Maryland opened up its offense last week against Boston College and kept the team's hopes alive for a postseason bowl. In their 42-35 victory over the eighth-ranked Eagles, the Terrapins (5-5, 2-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) scored more points than they had all season. It also marked their second win over a top 10 team this season -- something no Maryland team had ever done before. The Terrapins will try to set another precedent this week when they travel to Florida State (6-4, 3-4 ACC). Maryland has never beaten the Seminoles in Tallahassee since Florida State joined the ACC. "If there's anything that should give us confidence, it's that we've shown what we're capable of," Maryland head coach Ralph Friedgen said. Full Story
