| Report: Herd lands No. 1 juco TE Marshall is in no hurry to fill its vacant offensive coordinator spot, but the Thundering Herd is eager to land a few quality recruits. And with the spring semester beginning soon, the Thundering Herd appears to have landed a big fish from the junior college ranks. Maurice Graham, ranked the No. 1 junior college tight end in the country by some observers, reportedly has committed to the Herd, spurning offers from Michigan State and Arizona State. MU coaches cannot comment until his letter of intent arrives, but that was expected late Monday or today. When that happens, the Herd may be more loaded than ever at tight end. Graham played at the College of the Sequoias in Visalia, Calif., a school that produced MU receiver Darius Passmore and another recent signing, defensive back Josh Miller. Graham, a native of Fresno, Calif., was listed on the Sequoias roster as 6-foot-5, 290 pounds, but recruiting sites list him at 275. His reported 40-yard dash time is fair for a man that size — 4.7 seconds. The Charleston Gazette - Sports
