Re: Tyrus Thomas NBA Draft prospects

According to this story, LSU's Tyrus Thomas, the Southeastern Conference freshman of the year last season, is a projected lottery pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. In fact, Thomas, who "averaged 12 points and 9.0 rebounds, plus blocked 99 shots in his only season at LSU," may be picked #2 overall by the Chicago Bulls. How does this kid project to the NBA?

He would protect a whole lot better if he actually learned the game in college...I have seen very few people make the big jump from high school or freshman to being an All-Star right away...and I don't think Thomas is it.
