Say what? Les Miles has called a news conference this afternoon. Word is he's decided to stay at LSU after all.

Just saw the Miles news conference. It was short and sweet. He said the ESPN report was "misinformation", emphasized that he was the head coach at LSU and he had a championship game to prepare for. The tone was best described by the guys on CBS - "terse". Michigan was never mentioned by name.

It was his alma mater, and they were going to nearly double his salary. Why wouldn't he want to go?

I wasn't aware he went to school there. I just couldn't believe anybody would want to take over that school right now. There seems to be a lot of work there.

Well, he made it quite clear in an interview with CBS, saying he "will be the coach at LSU next year." So now what for the Wolverines?

Word is he and LSU just agreed to an amended deal. It's be a damn shame if he bailed on it.

That was the big controversy at the time. He was supposed to be the succesor, but blew it with his comments.
