BATON ROUGE -- LSU defensive coordinator Bo Pelini met with interim Nebraska athletic director Tom Osborne on Sunday in Baton Rouge to discuss the Cornhuskers' head football coaching job, a Nebraska newspaper reported Monday.
Osborne, the former Huskers coach, flew to Baton Rouge on a private jet owned by a booster to talk to Pelini, who is in his third year as the Tigers' defensive coordinator, according to the Omaha World-Herald. Pelini was defensive coordinator at Nebraska in 2003 and served as interim coach for one game there, a 17-3 victory against Michigan State in the Alamo Bowl, after head coach Frank Solich was fired.
