| Saban a building block at LSU BATON ROUGE, La. - Les Miles is sitting in The House That Nick Built. He is in the second-floor recruiting lounge at LSU's $15 million Football Operation Center, just across Nicholson Drive and a few blocks from Tiger Stadium. It's a cozy room, designed as if to be someone's enormous, luxurious den. Thick chairs in a subtle gold color help form a half-circle with the equally subtle purple sofa. A coffee table has magazines fanned out perfectly. A massive TV screen sits in a bookshelf. The shelves hold LSU helmets, a jersey, some Mardi Gras-themed LSU paraphernalia and various knick-knacks. Or Nick-knacks, perhaps. Not only has Miles, the LSU football coach, benefitted greatly from players Nick Saban left in the cupboard, his recruiting efforts have been enhanced by LSU's facilities. If there is to be a Saban legacy at LSU from his five seasons there, it will be the improvements he urged for the Tiger football program. Full Story
