| Flynn responds to critics with strong performance BATON ROUGE -- LSU quarterback Matt Flynn answered any critics he might have had after the Kentucky game. Flynn, who was off target often in last week's loss in Lexington, Ky., came through in the clutch in LSU's 30-24 victory against Auburn on Saturday night. Flynn completed 22 of 34 passes for a career-high 319 yards and three touchdowns. He drilled a perfect pass to Demetrius Byrd for the game-winning touchdown with one second remaining on a play where the whole stadium was expecting a running play to set up a potential game-winning field goal. | Re: Flynn responds to critics with strong performance Time will tell if this is a coming of age game for him. He's been 'good enough' for most of this season, but hasn't really been spectacular until Saturday. |
