| Miles insists Tigers' goals still achievable BATON ROUGE -- The Year of the Upset finally caught up with LSU on Saturday. Kentucky's 43-37 triple-overtime victory derailed at least temporarily LSU's run to a possible national title and its exclusive seat at the top of the polls. But that was no surprise to Tigers Coach Les Miles, given the Tigers' problems with execution. "We're a lot like any number of quality football teams," Miles said Sunday. "If we're fortunate to maintain health, have great attention to detail, play as a team in all three phases we can beat anybody we're up against. But it has to be that (LSU) team, and (our) team is capable of playing less than close to their best football." The Tigers were far from it, one week after one of the biggest victories in LSU history. LSU's top-ranked defense couldn't protect a 27-13 lead, the passing game produced a weak 142 yards and LSU was penalized 12 times for a season-high 103 yards. Kentucky's 333 yards through the fourth quarter were a season high allowed by LSU, and the Wildcats drove to scores on their final three possessions in regulation. LSU wide receivers had four drops and four penalties, quarterback Matt Flynn completed 17 of 35 passes and was way off target on several throws, including a costly interception on an underthrown deep ball.
