| Miles' world anything but perfect Believe me, no LSU football coach has carried a heavier load than Les Miles is carrying this season. Here's a guy with back-to-back 11-2 records, a guy who now finds himself in what can charitably be described as a no-win situation. Why? Because another 11-2 would be tantamount to a disaster. Would 14-0 be acceptable? Yes, simply because 14-0 is expected. No one appreciates the position of the man in charge of the second-ranked Tigers better than the man in charge of the 12th-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks, who'll show up at Tiger Stadium on Saturday as a 16-point underdog. Leave it to little Stevie Spurrier to apply the needle. Earlier in the week, Coach Spurrier was telling his audience on a conference call that he told Miles two years ago he was getting "the best job in the history of college football," that he was inheriting a treasure trove of blue-chip athletes from, if you'll excuse the expression, Nick Saban.
