BATON ROUGE -- LSU redshirt freshman linebacker Derrick Odom remains a reinstated member of the team following his second arrest in as many months Monday, according to LSU police and other university sources familiar with the situation.

Coach Les Miles already was aware of the second incident involving Odom, which allegedly occurred on campus Sept. 1, when LSU police called the football operations center Monday afternoon and informed team officials there was a misdemeanor summons for Odom regarding damage to property.

Odom turned himself in Monday around 7:30 p.m. at campus police headquarters, and he was released on his own recognizance, LSU Police Maj. Lawrence Rabalais said. Miles is not available to the media on Tuesdays.

Maybe we should call this the misdemeanor bowl both coaches have had trouble with players getting arrested this year. Spurrier had his troubles a little earlier in the year. Will this affect the morale of the LSU Tigers?
