| Flynn's status is up in the air BATON ROUGE -- There is no quarterback question at No. 2-ranked LSU -- fifth-year senior Matt Flynn is the man. On the other hand, a quarterback question for Saturday night against Middle Tennessee State could be brewing. For the second consecutive day, Flynn did not participate fully in practice. He did not participate at all Monday, and on Tuesday afternoon he was limited to some individual drills without wearing pads. Flynn hurt his right ankle in the first half against then No. 9-ranked Virginia Tech on Saturday and was gimpy at the beginning of the second although he continued to play some series. Sophomore Ryan Perrilloux played most of the fourth quarter and played well, tossing two touchdown passes and running hard. Perrilloux played in every quarter, although in the first he spelled Flynn for one play while the starter huddled with the coaches on the sideline. "That counts," Miles insisted, saying the early appearance, however brief, reflects confidence the team and the staff has gained in the backup during the past few weeks. "I wouldn't be surprised to see him play in a mixed bag of things throughout," Miles said. Flynn, whose play has been impeccable the first two games during which he threw two touchdown passes and no interceptions while averaging 172.5 yards, was scheduled to conduct media interviews Monday but did not. He did not appear Tuesday, either. Flynn's status is up in the air- NOLA.com

| Re: Flynn's status is up in the air It won't affect the Tigers much with or without Flynn IMO. LSU's defense is their main offense, and when the QB is called upon, Perrilloux has proven he can get the job done, and many LSU fans feel he could start. LSU should have no problem stomping over MTSU. |

| Re: Flynn's status is up in the air Not at all. Don't let the Louisville game get to you. Louisville plays no D, but just was fortunate to have the great offense to outscore MTSU, which is how they will have to win. LSU is the best defensive team in the Nation. MTSU doesn't have a chance. |

| Re: Flynn's status is up in the air Many people predicted Notre Dame to go 0-2. A lot say they will be lucky to win a game. They were no suprise, but Michigan was. It really hasn't been too wierd of a season though. |
