| LSU coach Miles' philosophy keeps players loose BATON ROUGE -- In the college football grand tradition of one-game-at-a-time, LSU Coach Les Miles will say the Tigers' schedule has 12 "big" games on it. The players echo that sentiment, over and over again, having had it drilled into their heads. It's hard getting anything out of them to separate the importance of one game over another. Fans -- and the media -- say different, and the chorus is loud this week. No. 2 LSU plays host to No. 9 Virginia Tech in the first top-10 matchup of the college football season. Miles and the rest of the coaching fraternity notwithstanding, it's a huge game. Miles has won his share of those. One of his selling points when he was hired away from Oklahoma State nearly three years ago were his two victories against Oklahoma. At LSU, he's taken home victories against Florida and Auburn and a road victory against unbeaten Alabama. He won a Southeastern Conference West Division-clinching game against Arkansas and is 2-for-2 in bowl games. Miles' philosophy keeps players loose
