| LSU the hunted as foes seek to tame Tigers BATON ROUGE -- The question most of Tigertown is asking today goes something like this: If LSU wins the coin toss, does Les Miles elect to kick off or receive? Here's the problem. The question has nothing to do with Thursday night's opener at Mississippi State. The question is about a game Jan. 7 at the Superdome, when the Tigers play Southern California for the national championship. Poor Les Miles. Toward the end of Monday's press conference, the LSU coach held up one finger, giving his audience the cliché answer: We play 'em one at a time. Miles was reminded he better be cautious, that any single-digit photograph of him these days could easily be mistaken for "We're No. 1." He's in charge of a bunch of Tigers that will be hunted over the next three months, beginning by a bunch of Bulldogs, who happen to be underdogs by 18 points.
