| Miles doesn't want to tip hand concerning rules change, strategy BATON ROUGE -- LSU Coach Les Miles said Tuesday that practice has taken on a more upbeat tempo but kinks remain and the game plan against Mississippi State has not been finalized. None of those situations are out of the ordinary, Miles said, noting he hoped the team reaches its peak preparation point just before kickoff Aug. 30 in Starkville, Miss. With the back of his neck burned tobacco brown from the Tigers' camp, and sweat leaving salt-colored lines on his purple cap and making his thin pullover a darker gray, Miles exuded confidence about the team overall. "The weather's been hot, and that's benefited us," said Miles, adding that he thinks the players are tougher mentally and physically as a result of seemingly endless reps on broiling days. "(Wednesday) morning, we'll do another good go and then give 'em a break and let them get off their feet and relax for a day and a half or two days." Tigers' kicking under wraps- NOLA.com
