LSU women's basketball coach Pokey Chatman resigned yesterday, effective immediately, and according to reports the cause may be due to misconduct with former players. According to the AP, "The Times-Picayune of New Orleans reported on its Web site Thursday that the resignation was prompted by the school's discovery of alleged inappropriate conduct between the 37-year-old Chatman and one or more players. Later, ESPN.com reported LSU had found out about an alleged improper sexual relationship between Chatman and a former player."

ESPN is reporting that they learned of Chatman's conduct from one of her assistants, and that they might have known at least a month ago. Furthermore, the sports network is stating that no current player is involved. So what do you guys think of all this? Chatman was a real good coach; how did all this happen?

Seems like all the traffic on this subject is at ESPN. And by the reaction of all the Chatman fans there, it is all okay as nothing has occurred with any of the players of the current team. Even though the relationship was with an active player at the time it occured. But since she has now graduated it makes her a former player. Amazing how a play on words makes everything "OK".

Chatman and LSU have reportedly reached a deal in their contract dispute. According to the AP, "LSU will give Chatman $85,000 in postseason bonus money, on top of the $75,000 both sides agreed she is due under the disputed contract, for a total of $160,000."
