OXFORD, Miss. -- Clarence Sanders buried a 17-foot buzzer beater to lift the Ole Miss Rebels to a thrilling 71-70 win over the LSU Tigers in SEC action from Tad Smith Coliseum.
Sanders went 11-of-19 from the field and finished with 29 points for the Rebels (17-8, 6-5 SEC), who have now won four straight. Todd Abernethy recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists.
Glen Davis led the charge for LSU ( 14-11, 3-8 ), finishing with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Darnell Lazare poured in 22 points, while Tasmin Mitchell tallied 11 points and 10 boards.
