Tigers Tide Game Up to the minute news about the LSU Tigers from GoTeamsGo. We'll find the latest LSU Tigers news so you can chat about here. Quote: Struggling Tigers and Tide meet in Baton Rouge
Sports Network - 20 hours ago
Baton Rouge, LA (Sports Network) - A pair of disappointing SEC teams will meet in Baton Rouge tonight, as the LSU Tigers host the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Alabama won 13 of its first 14 games this season and appeared to be a serious threat to reach the Final Four. While the Tide still hold a spot in the Top-25, the fact that four of their last six outings have resulted in defeat suggests that the ranking may not be justified. Alabama has lost two straight, the most recent of which being a 63-57 setback to Arkansas on Saturday.
LSU is in an even worse situation, as the Tigers have lost their last three games and also own a 2-4 conference mark. LSU has been held to fewer that 65 points in three straight outings, including Sunday's 57-54 loss to Georgia. The Tigers are a strong 11-2 at home, but their last outing in Baton Rouge resulted in a double-digit loss to Vanderbilt.
Alabama owns a 93-64 advantage in the all-time series with LSU, and the Tide posted a 71-61 victory over the Tigers earlier this month.
