Richard Hendrix had 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting and six rebounds as the 14th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide bested the No. 13 LSU Tigers, 71-61, at Coleman Coliseum.
Alonzo Gee added 15 points and seven rebounds while Mykal Riley and Jermareo Davidson each netted 12 for the Tide (14-2, 1-1 SEC), who have won two of their last three contests. Davidson also grabbed 12 boards in the victory.
Glen Davis led all scorers with 24 points and also pulled down 17 rebounds and Tasmin Mitchell scored 19 points for the Tigers (11-4, 0-1 SEC), who have lost two straight games.
