College Basketball Preview: Texas A&M Aggies at LSU Tigers

The undefeated Texas A&M Aggies, ranked sixth nationally, invade Baton Rouge tonight for a non-conference showdown with the ninth-ranked LSU Tigers. All seven of Texas A&M's victories have come by double figures, as the team has played a weak schedule to date. The Aggies were most recently in action on Saturday, and they posted a 74-62 decision over Pacific. They have only lost one non-conference game in two-plus years under Billy Gillispie, and that setback came against Pacific last season. LSU hopes to make a second consecutive trip to the Final Four, and the team has won four of its five games this season. On Saturday, the Tigers held on for a closer-than-expected, 74-67 decision over Tulane on the road. The lone loss came against Wichita State, and none of the team's victories have come against quality opponents. LSU holds a 12-9 edge over Texas A&M in the all-time series between the teams, and the teams last played during the 2002-03 campaign.
