The loss to Florida was pretty ugly, but at least there might have been one positive come out of it -- the emergence of a new starting tailback in former FB Jacob Hester. Hester caught a 2-yard pass for LSU's lone touchdown of the game.
Says Ed Staton of
BayouBuzz - Louisiana Sports Buzz, "LSU may have found the tailback it has been looking for all season. Hester, who started the first five games at fullback, started at tailback and responded with 68 total yards. He rushed 9 times for 43 yards and caught 5 passes for 25, including the TD... He hit holes hard, ran hard and was harder to bring down than some of the the backs LSU has used this season."
So what do you think of this kid Hester, LSU fans? Can he carry the load as the starting running back?
