College Football Preview: LSU Eyes Rebound Against Tulane
By: Al Guidry, Sports Editor

The sparks will be flying in Baton Rouge Saturday night when the LSU Tigers celebrate homecoming against the Tulane Green Wave in Death Valley. Game-time is 7 p.m. and it will be televised on Tigervision via Cox Sports.

All the records can be thrown out the window when these two state rivals meet, whether its on the football field or playing monopoly. It's also a known fact that the opposing school's fans don't much like each other once the battle lines are drawn.

This game should be no different as the Tigers (2-1) are loaded and the Wave (1-1) have one of their better teams over the past few years.

The two teams will be renewing one of the South's oldest rivalry, which dates back to 1893, with the Tigers holding a comfortable 65-22-7 advantage. LSU is 35-10-1 against the Wave in Baton Rouge, with their last home loss coming in 1982 by a 31-28 decision. The last time they met was during the 2001 season with the Tigers rolling to a 48-17 victory.
I'm expecting LSU to win this one going away. Do you guys agree?

Re: LSU Tigers vs. Tulane Green Wave

Yes, indeed, easy win for LSU, 49-7. In the game, according to the Sports Network, "JaMarcus Russell went 17-for-23 with 198 yards and two touchdowns and Charles Scott had 15 carries for 101 yards and two touchdowns for the Tigers (3-1), who rebounded from last Saturday's 7-3 loss to Auburn." Impressive win for LSU, eh?
