Re: No. 1 Florida at No. 4 LSU

It's a shame it took this long for Florida to actually face a legitimate opponent, this is the 1st team the Gators will face that is even close to being ranked. Even with a healthy Tim Tebow, I think LSU wins this one....the Gators are missing Percy Harvin more than people might realize. Night games in LSU are crazy, and you know the crowd will be amped for this one even more than usual.

You can't be serious a legitimate opponent a better opponent maybe, this LSU team is lucky to even be ranked after the last two games (Georgia, MSU). For some reason better teams have not gone around LSU bias Pollsters my guess. Bad coaching will finally catch up with Miles there will be no escape this time. No running game and bad run defense are big problems for LSU.

With Florida's strength of schedule currently ranked #107 in the nation, I stand by my comment about a legitimate opponent!

Strength of Schedule, now I put a lot of stock in that (not really) and that depends on witch guru you choose to look at Phil Steel has Florida at rank of #34 on sos, CBS rankings has them at #33, let's not look at a bunch of number crunching and look at the product on the field you must not have watched LSU the last two games. I watched them play Washington, Miss. State, and Georgia, bad coaching calls, bad run defense, and no running game. But i will give this to you Florida has not really played any one that has threatened them as of yet. One play' MSU QB stretches the ball over the plain of the goal line and one penalty that should have not been called (SEC Head of Officals said that) and LSU is 3-2 and not 5-0 they are not good they are very lucky and their luck is about to run out. This game will either be real good and LSU keeps it close or it will get real ugly real quick for LSU. Tebow or No Tebow.

I use the Jeff Sagarin model, the same one the BCS uses.

Re: No. 1 Florida at No. 4 LSU

Just for a moment, try to forget the 24-hour will-he-or-won't-he-play drama surrounding Tim Tebow. We'll get back to the Florida quarterback soon enough. With or without Tebow, top-ranked Florida (4-0, 2-0 SEC) will face its toughest test this season as it heads to Death Valley on Saturday night to battle No. 4 LSU (5-0, 3-0 SEC).

The Tigers have owned Saturday nights at home, winning their last 32 games, including 21 straight under coach Les Miles. Since 1960, LSU is 211-59-4 at night in Tiger Stadium, with its last loss coming on Nov. 16, 2002 against Alabama. Home turf is a daunting advantage for the Tigers, and Miles, who's played college ball before 100,000-plus fans in The Big House, says LSU's atmosphere is unmatched.

Re: No. 1 Florida at No. 4 LSU

Well if your in to morale victories i guess LSU achieved that because they did not get run out of their own stadium and played better defensively than they have all year as a whole. And for once Les Miles did not do any bonehead coaching calls during the game really unusual for the LSU Coach. They need a lot of work on offense particularly the Offensive Line.
