| Re: Louisville 2008 football schedule Everyone is down on Louisville this year but who would have thought UConn would have tied for the conference title last year? After all some coaches heads rolled after an completely dysfunctional start with the defense last year. Once Kragthorpe got a chance to have to be the DCoordinator himself the defense became respectable. Ask a good Rutgers team whom Louisville beat at the end of the year. Now with the new Offensive Coordinator, Jeff Brohm(who served well under Petrino's coaches and turned down the Alabama OC offer from Saban to stay at Louisville) and new defensive coordinator who was Michigan's DC the past 4yrs are at the helm......who's to say Louisville will be bad? I haven't heard anyone say Louisville won't have a chance to win and be very competitive in the games this year. The other teams just have a deeper roster than Louisville; which everyone in the conference knows by now. And who is to say Kentucky will be that good at the beginning of the year? They don't seem to have a proven QB which is very important in the first game of the year. And Kentucky lost a slew of good players last year that need replaced. It is just wishful thinking to predict the winner of that first game. So, enough with the negativity already! Louisville rose from the grave in the 80's by basically taking walk-on players with good coaching and hard work. There's some new coaches on board this year and they were highly sought after coaches....this point can not be overlooked.
