| 2007-08 All-BIG EAST Georgetown’s Roy Hibbert is the only repeat selection on the 2007-08 All-BIG EAST First Team, the league announced. The conference’s head coaches choose the all-league teams. The coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players. Hibbert was a unanimous selection along with Connecticut’s A.J. Price, Louisville’s David Padgett and Notre Dame’s Luke Harangody. Each player helped his team earn one of the top four seeds and a first-round bye in The BIG EAST Championship Presented by Aeropostale, which will be played March 12-15 in New York at Madison Square Garden. When the BIG EAST membership grew to 16 teams in 2005-06, the all-league teams were expanded. Eleven players are named to the All-BIG EAST First Team with one of those players earning BIG EAST Player of the Year honors. The conference will announce the Player of the Year and its other individual awards at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City, March 11, at 6 p.m. EST. 2008 All-BIG EAST Men's Basketball Teams Announced - BIG EAST Conference Athletics |
