Cal's Delgado new D-Line coach for Louisville

It’s appears Louisville defensive coaching overall is now complete. According to an Associated Press report, California defensive line coach Ken Delgado has resigned from Jeff Tedford’s staff to accept a similar position with the Cardinals.
Last week, Louisville head coach Steve Kragthorpe announced the hirings of Ron English as defensive coordinator and Ted Roof, former head coach at Duke, linebacker coach.
Delgado spent the past six seasons as an assistant at California. Before his stint at Cal, Delgado served as defensive line coach at San Diego State, Utah and San Jose State. Delgado also served as defensive coordinator at San Diego State in 2000-01.
Under Delgado’s guidance, California linemen Tully Banta-Cain, Ryan Riddle and Brandon Mebane have earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors. In 2004, California allowed only 82.5 yards rushing per game – second nationally. In 2002, Delgado’s defensive line produced a Pac-10 best 44 sacks.
As an assistant at San Diego State, Delgado tutored Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila (Green Bay), a three-time all-conference choice and the Aztecs' all-time sack leader. Delgado also helped develop 1998 WAC Freshman of the Year Jerome Haywood, as well as La'Roi Glover, who has earned All-Pro honors in the NFL. Delgado's 1993 D-line at Utah featured future NFL first-round choice Luther Ellis.
Kragthorpe will introduce his new defensive staff during a 3 o’clock press conference on Monday.
