Louisville vs. Rutgers

The final regular season game for these two teams is Thursday evening at Papa John's Stadium. Louisville will try to end their season on a winning note and ending a two game losing slide. They need one last win to become bowl eligible.

Has the season already ended for Louisville? Or will the players show up to perform on Thursday night?

Bowl eligibility on the line? I think they'll be ready to play. They'll lose, but they'll be ready to play.

I don't see Louisville winning this game. This team is just too deflated.
Rutgers beat S. Florida and S. Florida bull-dozed Louisville. You do the math. the cold winds are blowing in the Louisville fan base.

I'm glad you got it right. If this is Brohm's last game, at least he goes out a winner his last game in his own back yard.
Excuse me while I sing My Ol Kentucky Home with the fat lady!!!!

Great comeback. Early on, it looked like it was going to be all Rutgers. Good to see Louisville still has heart and fighting spirit left in 'em.

Re: Louisville vs. Rutgers

The way we played in the fourth quarter is how we should have been playing all freaking season. Notice how much we scored when we didn't abandon the running game?

I'm not ready to give up on Kragthorpe yet. I think the slide we took this year was mostly the fact we lost so many "double teamers" on D-fence.

There's one of those elusive cardinal fans(one that isn't a fairweather fan) I've been searchin for and has a grasp of reality when it comes to why the cards have had a dismal year.

It is interesting that the plays were called by Kragthorpe and Jeff Brohm in the fourth quarter, not Stubbs who has now resigned as OC.

I know where Quality88 is coming from. Kentucky has endured years of Florida coming to pound them and Kentucky still stayed respectful in support of the team. Heck, this was the toughest Southeast Conference I've ever seen.
Louisville, on the other hand, rose to a top 10 team and their fan base is pretty new. Heck, I started going to the games in 1987 and there were only 15 - 20,000 fans in attendance. So some of the newer fans only came because they were winning.

I came because the coaching staff was developing the players to become overcomers and you could tell it by their effort.
The fans do have a right to complain about legitimate things such as arm tackling, players unprepared, the other team seems to know what our next play is because the coordinator is predictable. If you don't voice an opinion, you will become status quo.

This year is definately a learning lesson for Louisville. Those who are cry babies will always be cry babies....Louisville has some of them and Kentucky has some of them.

I sat next to some KY fans at the final four and they were the nicest people. Rational fans just need to know the source of the complainers and stay away from them or ignore their ignorance.
