I've been behind Kragthorpe all season despite his ups and downs. I firmly believe he should get his chance to prove himself right for the job....or not. But I have to say this. For the first time this season I was actually very angry with his coaching decisions. He should not have chosen to do an onside kick with 3:33 left in the game and 2 time outs left. It just didn't make any sense. I understand not having a lot of faith in the defense...but don't broadcast that when you are the head coach. Also, at least if they had done a "successful" punt, which wasn't exactly easy to do that night, the Utes would have had to march further down the field before being within field goal range (and our defeat), instead they only had to march about 20 yards down the field. It just seemed like he didn't even give us a chance to win. I've seen Brian do miracles with 3:33 left on the clock, but Kragthorpe took that chance away and traded it for a 10% onside kick chance. HELLO!!!!!!! Not a good decision.
