| New offense, same impressive stats for Brohm September 12, 2007 By Jack Carey, USA TODAY Brohm says he briefly considered opting for the pros when Petrino departed, but after Tulsa's Steve Kragthorpe was hired by the Cardinals that thought left his mind. "I got to know Coach Kragthorpe, and I really just fell in love with what he wanted to do with the program and with the offense we were going to run," says Brohm, who happened to be looking up information on Kragthorpe on the Internet when the coach made an introductory phone call to his new quarterback. "Pretty much what it came down to is, I wanted to stay for my senior year. "I'm not worried about stats this year or TDs or completions, just as long as we go out there and execute the way we're supposed to." "In the offseason this year, I worked on driving the ball more, worked on my velocity and I have more spiral to the ball now," Brohm says. "I worked on getting my body into my throws." Brohm says he hopes a smooth transition to Kragthorpe's offense will help show NFL teams he can adapt to different terminologies and schemes. "He's picked up the offense extremely well," Kragthorpe says. "In terms of managing the game, getting us in and out of plays, in and out of the huddle and being the conductor and director of the offense." |

| Re: New offense, same impressive stats for Brohm There is not much difference in the offensive schemes for what I read. With Kragthorpe's system, Brohm utilizes more passes to the tight ends and there are more deep route passes. |
