Louisville, Ky. - Mike Mallory has been named secondary coach at the University of Louisville, announced U of L head coach Steve Kragthorpe on Friday.
Mallory, who has over 20 years of collegiate coaching experience, spent one season at the University of Kansas as the linebackers coach before joining the Cardinal staff.
"Mike is a great addition to our staff," said Kragthorpe. "He has tremendous experience and is a proven coach on the field, and is an excellent recruiter. I feel extremely fortunate to add a coach with Mike's credentials to our staff."
Prior coaching at Kansas with Mark Mangino, Mallory spent five seasons as an assistant at Illinois, including two years as the team's defensive coordinator. He coached two seasons with current U of L defensive coordinator Mike Cassity.
