University of Louisville junior Art Carmody captured the 2006 Lou Groza award, which is presented to the nation's top placekicker. The award was announced during Thursday night's 2006 Home Depot College Football Awards Show in Orlando, Fla.

ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Louisville junior Art Carmody captured the 2006 Lou Groza Award, which is presented to the nation's top placekicker. The award was announced during Thursday night's 2006 Home Depot College Football Awards Show.
Carmody, a native of Shreveport, La., made 20-of-23 field goal attempts and all 57 of his extra point tries this season for the Cardinals.

The Award was given in my backyard (Orlando)...and the right guy won...This kid's middle name is accuracy.
