Louisville Cardinals vs. Syracuse Orange

Louisville went to 6-0 last week by edging Cincinnati, 23-17. Brian Brohm returned for the Cardinals but was not overly impressive. Meanwhile, even though Syracuse was buried by WVU on Saturday, I came away somewhat impressed with the play of QB Perry Patterson. Unfortunately for the Orange, Patterson just doesn't have enough weapons around him, and the 'Cuse defense is lousy. Louisville wins here, 31-13.

Re: Louisville Cardinals vs. Syracuse Orange

Syracuse is hanging around in this one. Louisville does not look sharp. The Cardinals have a 14-6 lead in the third quarter, but they just had a chance to put the Orange away and Brohm threw a pick. If Syracuse can put a drive or two together, this certainly looks to be a winnable game for them at this point.

Re: Louisville Cardinals vs. Syracuse Orange

Nope, next up for them is WVU on Nov. 2. Any if they play like they did today against Syracuse, then the Mountaineers should easily be able to handle the Cardinals. If not for the Orange blowing a few golden scoring opportunities, Louisville would probably not have won the game. Late in the fourth, it was 21-13, Cards, and it should have at least been 21-20 or even 24-21 in favor of the Orange. Oh, and Brohm really struggled.
