| Lakers over Rockets, head to Western finals Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Houston Rockets 89-70 and are headed to the Western finals to face the Denver Nuggets. Paul Gasol had 21 points and 18 rebounds. Lakers took an 8 point lead against the turnover prone Rockets and widened it to 25 at the half.

This is so similar to the Celtics of last year, this is the series where everyone is like the other team is playing good they'll finally choke. Just the Celtics heard before they got the Pistons last year. Lakers in 6
