Orlando was out to a 44-33 lead in the first quarter in this one...and playing at home, that seemed like a good lead.

Then Gasol and Kobe take over...Gasol goes 12 out 15 with 9 boards...Kobe gets in for 46 minutes and goes 30 points, 10 boards and 6 rebounds...

Howard has an 8 for 8 night with 11 boards...Magic can't rally fast enough in this one...

It was just Gasol's third game in a Laker uniform, but he and Bryant ran the pick-and-roll play so effectively, they looked as though they had been playing together for years.

I think this may make them one of the favorites to win the west this year. How much better are they going to be when Bynum returns. They will have 3 great players to run Jackson's triangle offense.

I am thinking its one of the reasons that the Suns scrambled to get Shaq.

The Lakers are looking scary-good. I don't think Shaq's really going to help Phoenix, not against this impressive tandem.

I think Shaq still has a series in him...and if the big guy felt like proving someone wrong he would be a handful to contain.
