| Re: Andrew Bynum I believe Bynum's developement into a servicable NBA center can only be hindered by himself and injury. This kid has tons of potential and is working with hall of famer kareem abdul jabbar on basketball. Andrew Bynum has yet to tap into his vast potential. He possesses all the tools necassary in order to become a great player, big body, great tutelage, good motivation [see kobe's rant on youtube], his performance even now is very promising. He's only beginning to realize his potential averaging a double-double of 11 points at 59% FG percentage, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks a game. In the near future we will see whether the young Andrew Bynum will follow in the footsteps of the many great centers who before him wore the Laker's uniform of purple and maize. I look forward to witnessing the rise of a new force within the NBA, b/c hinged upon his development are the hopes of the Laker's return to glory and to restore their past legacy. B/C Kobe Bryant himself can only lead a team so far, within the tough bindings of the loaded Western Conference and Pacific Division. Any team with championship aspirations requires a post presence. The past few winners have all had one. Miami had Shaq, the Spurs had Tim Duncan, and the Pistons had the defensive force of Ben Wallace. If Bynum is able to become the great player he is supposed to be and if Kobe Bryant stays, the Lakers will have more than just a fighting chance to return to prominence once more, and perhaps add some more championship banners to hang from the rafters of the Staples Center. |
