Bad news for hoops fans in Los Angeles - the cost of Lakers basketball tickets is going up.

According to CBS Sportsline wire reports, "Courtside seats at Staples Center popular with celebrities were raised from $2,200 to $2,300 per game -- a 4.5 percent increase, team officials said, and tickets in six lower level sections will increase from $220 to $230, also a 4.5 percent increase... The team institued the nearly across-the board price hikes for the second straight year, with the average increase totaling nearly 5 percent."

Does that mean that Jack Nicholson and select company pay over $80,000 a year to see the Lakers? Or do you think Jack gets free seats so then they have to charge everyone else a lot higher?

If it were a smaller market, he may get them for free, but this is LA. There are rich famous people all over. He is lucky he can get seats.
