After being the Lakers main free-agent acquisition in the Summer of '06 there was a lot of excitement and optimism surrounding Vladimir Radmanovic. That excitement never was really matched by results on the floor. After being beaten out in training camp for the starting small forward job by Luke Walton, Radmanovic settled into the role of bench "gunner", coming off the bench almost exclusively to bomb from beyond the arc.
Radmanovic never got settled into the Triangle Offense and thus saw his minutes decline sharply as he was often passed over in favor of Brian Cook. The season hit rock bottom during the All-Star break when Vlad separated his shooting shoulder while attempting snowboarding for the first time in Park City, UT. The subsequent cover up cost Radmanovic nearly 10% of his salary.
