Kobe suspended again

According to the AP, "Kobe Bryant was suspended one game by the NBA on Wednesday for striking a player in the face, his second penalty for that action in a little more than a month... And if he does it again, he could be looking at a more severe punishment." I didn't see the incident, but I heard it was the same kind of post-shot arm flailing that got him suspended last time. If he does it again, I hope they throw the book at him. It's a cheap shot wrapped in a disguise that's not fooling anyone.

Re: Kobe suspended again

You'd think he would learn to stop it so he won't miss any more games.

Cool Re: Kobe suspended again

For the second offense, they should have given him at least 3 games. You think Kobe cares about being suspsended for 1?

Re: Kobe suspended again

He has to learn to shoot and hold back his elbow in the release.

His elbow is now feared by all organizations on the court.

Re: Kobe suspended again

The first time I figured it was just a reflex, but now it is obviosly something he has decided to do to keep defenders from guarding him too closely. I have thrown an errant elbow or two on the court, but never while shooting the ball. Bryant is close to really tarnishing his on-court legacy for good with these actions.

While I agree that kobe is an excellent ball player, I feel that his actions on and off the court should be representative of himself, the NBA and his family. I can't tell you how many Kobe Bryant jerseys I have seen the young people in our community wearing.

Whether he wants to be considered a roll model or not he is a HUGE force in the way young people look up to him, want to be like him and want to play like him. I have seen 11-12 year old boys basketball and asked a kid why they made certain moves or did something they knew would be a foul
and was told that's the way Kobe does it.

If his coach and general manger can't get his under control I feel the NBA commisioner need to start emposing sever santions and indefinate suspensions, not only to Kobe but to any player that feels they have the right to throw the rule book out the window and disrespect his coaches, teammates and the fans.

Just My Opinion
