Playing without the suspended Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers' late rally fell short in their season-high third straight loss, 99-94 to the New York Knicks on Tuesday night.

Kobe was suspended for accidentally elbowing Manu Ginobli of the Spurs in the face during a game a couple of days ago. He was trying to get an emergency appeal, but apparently it didn't work out, and without him the Lakers laid an egg against the Knicks.
