Luke Walton scored a career-high 25 points, Lamar Odom had 15 rebounds, and the Los Angeles Lakers muddled through without the injured Kobe Bryant to beat the Atlanta Hawks 106-95 on Friday night.

Yeah, you read that right - Walton scored 25 and Evans added 22, both career highs, in the win. Evans was starting in place of the injured Kobe Bryant, and it was just his 14th start in four NBA seasons. Could the Lakers finally have enough depth to make a serious run at a title in the post-Shaq era?
