With yesterday's 4-3 win at home against the Colorado Rockies, the Los Angeles Dodgers are now in first place in the NL West. L.A. has won 12 of their last 13 and are a half-game ahead of San Diego and Arizona. They way these young Dodgers are playing, can anyone in the West stop them, or is the division theirs to win or lose?

I think their only possible obstacle in their way for winning the division title will be the Padres. Certainly a troubled ballclub right now, I don't see them having the Playoffs in their future this year. But of course I have the perspective of a Dodgers fan, so I hope that they get into the Playoffs after last year's unhappy absense.

I don't expect them to make an impact in the Playoffs, but who knows?

I looked at the Padres lineup and decided that the Royals might be better. Hoping here that grady Little gets the Dodgers into the post-season and they do some damage.
