Noted from about an hour ago, the Dodgers traded Odalis Perez and a couple of minor league pitchers to the Kansas City Royals for RHP Elmer Dessens.

Perez for Dessens? I don't see the point. One's as good as the other, right?

Lefty Noob, has a good point there. Both of these pitchers are about the same in value, even though Perez makes almost eight times as much money as Dessens.

I don't think this trade will make a distinctive impact.

Kansas City doesn't offer that many Cy Young opportunities for young pitchers.

But then again, what opportunities do the Royals offer? Losing doesn't count.

I'm hearing that Perez was "disgruntled" as a Dodger. Let's see how happy he is in the baseball purgatory that is Kansas City!
