We have had a terrible winter. We haven't improved at all. I know I'll probably get ripped for this, but I think standing pat is the wrong thing to do. I'm not a believer in all of the youngsters......yet. I think they have a lot of potential, but we need a veteran leader in the clubhouse, and we have done nothing about it.

It would have been nice to make a run at Texiera......but no. How about Sabathia? Nope.

Well they seemed like a team last year that was clearly a contender. Maybe they don't want to mess with that since, like you said a lot of youngsters could repeat a play-off appearence. As for a veteran. Would you be OK with someone like Cliff Floyd or Randy Johnson?

No way I would be happy with a Cliff Floyd or Randy Johnson.......Johnson is broke down and done.......Floyd won't command the respect in the clubhouse a Manny or Texiera would. Plus, Texiera is good for another 7 to 8 years....and a switch hitter! The Dodgers are owned by a bunch of wannabe owners.....they don't know what they are doing when it comes to Free Agent signings.

I think Manny really would have helped them. He may have been the reason they got to the play-offs last year. If all you want is veteran presence though, those guys I mentioned might be OK.
