Dodgers deal Sandy Alomar Jr.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have traded Sandy Alomar Jr. to the Chicago White Sox for minor-league pitcher B.J. LaMura. The 40-year-old Alomar was hitting .323 with nine RBIs in 27 games with the Dodgers, while LaMura was 5-0 with a 1.69 ERA and 67 strikeouts in 34 relief appearances for Double-A Birmingham. How would you rate this trade?

Re: Dodgers deal Sandy Alomar Jr.

Well, if the minor league pitcher was under 30-years old, I guess the White Sox really like Sandy.

I didn't even know Sandy Alomar still played.

Re: Dodgers deal Sandy Alomar Jr.

Surprised me, too. Doing pretty well, too. He's only seeing limited time, but he's hitting over .300 at the age of 40. Not bad. Something tells me he could be a valuable pinch-hitter for the White Sox during a playoff run.
