| Mattingly steps down The Los Angeles Daily News is reporting that Don Mattingly has resigned as the Dodgers hitting coach due to "an undisclosed family issue". Certainly didn't see this one coming, considering it was widely thought that Joe Torre was grooming Donnie Baseball as his successor. So where does this leave Torre and the Dodgers now?
